Adaptive Driver's Training

The prospective driver is given an overview of each facet of the vehicle. Instruction consists of how to operate the vehicle's adaptive equipment. Once the candidate has mastered the necessary functions to operate the vehicle, he or she begins the road practice.

The road practice consists of making right turns and left turns, operating the vehicle's turn signals, instruction in the use of marked and unmarked lanes of traffic, operating the vehicle in reverse, observing traffic signs and signals, making sudden stops, etc.

When the candidate has mastered these skills to the level necessary to pass the motor vehicle test, then the candidate will be presented to the Department of Public Safety to be given the road examination.
