Fair Housing Awareness Program

The ILC works in conjunction with the Mobile Fair Housing Center to increase the awareness of the Fair Housing Statutes preventing discrimination in the acquisition of housing based on disabilities.

The goals of the program are to promote education and compliance. Education is provided to persons with disabilities seeking housing. Compliance is promoted by referring persons who believe they may have been discriminated against to the Mobile Fair Housing Center for possible legal action.
