Shannon Shelley-Tremblay
She is not
loud, but she speaks firmly for the civil rights of people with disabilities.
Shannon
Shelley-Tremblay joined the Independent Living Center of Mobile in September, 2004, as the
Civil Rights Advocate. Shannon holds a
bachelors degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, a Masters in Educational
Theatre from New York University, and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in
September of 2003.
Prior to entering the practice of law,
Shannon worked as a teacher of both general and special education. In addition to serving as the Civil Rights
Advocate for the consumers of the Independent Living Center, she is coordinating the ADL/ABE program. Shannon
is pleased to have the opportunity to put her skills and training to work to serve the
consumers of the Independent Living Center.
