Shannon Shelley-Tremblay

She is not loud, but she speaks firmly for the civil rights of people with disabilities.

Shannon Shelley-Tremblay joined the Independent Living Center of Mobile in September, 2004, as the Civil Rights Advocate.  Shannon holds a bachelors degree in Psychology from Colorado State University, a Masters in Educational Theatre from New York University, and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law.  She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in September of 2003.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Shannon worked as a teacher of both general and special education.  In addition to serving as the Civil Rights Advocate for the consumers of the Independent Living Center, she is coordinating the ADL/ABE program.  Shannon is pleased to have the opportunity to put her skills and training to work to serve the consumers of the Independent Living Center.
